1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using invoicemodo ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

invoicemodo is a free online invoice generator that allows users to:

  • Create professional invoices without registration (Free plan)
  • Download invoices as PDF files
  • Store invoice data locally in their browser
  • Access premium features with a paid subscription (Pro plan)

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind.

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

Free Plan

The Free plan does not require account creation. All data is stored locally in your browser. You are responsible for backing up your data.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan ($7/month) requires account creation and includes:

  • Unlimited downloads
  • 5 premium templates
  • Custom logo upload
  • Email sending capability
  • Invoice history (up to 50 invoices)
  • Removal of "Made with invoicemodo" footer

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Payment Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $7/month. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. After 7 days, no refunds are provided for partial months
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create fraudulent, misleading, or illegal invoices
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Use the Service for any automated or bulk operations without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by invoicemodo and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the invoice content you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Process your invoice data to generate PDFs
  • Send invoices via email (Pro feature only)
  • Display "Made with invoicemodo" footer on Free plan invoices

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • Free plan: All data is stored locally in your browser
  • Pro plan: Invoice data is stored securely on our servers
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties
  • You are responsible for backing up your data

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall invoicemodo, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Any errors or omissions in content
  • Loss of data stored in your browser

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is less.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless invoicemodo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • Free plan: Your locally stored data remains in your browser
  • Pro plan: You will have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted
  • No refunds will be provided for unused subscription time

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect.

By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and invoicemodo regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
